Featured Artists: Glen Beebe and Scott McDougall
Glen Beebe is a graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, art collector, and amateur musician, who has lived in the Phinney Ridge area for more than 40 years. Glen’s photographic subjects are as varied as his interests – music, people, architecture, windows, doors, water, patterns, reflections and anything strange. Many of his images have been used as CD album art.
Each photograph has been cropped, color corrected and sharpened, none have been “artistically” enhanced with filters. What you see is how the original image appeared. Any “effects” are mostly the result of In-the-Camera Manipulation.
Scott McDougall is an illustrator, artist and rock-poster collector who grew up in northern and central California in the sixties. He lived in Seattle on Phinney Ridge for more than 30 years and only recently moved back to California. Scott has created artwork for mare than 50 CD and LP covers for the Grateful Dead, as well as posters for Hempfest, EMP and H.O.R.D.E. Festival; covers for The Rocket Magazine and Guitar Player; and illustrations for Rolling Stone.
Glen and Scott have collaborated on a number of projects, including the Hempfest 2014 poster; Wild Reverence movie poster and DVD cover; Homespun Adventures DVD; and most recently, Split Fountain Hieroglyphics, a hard cover book documenting NW psychedelic posters.

Presenting Luminiferous
My work stems from a long running affinity for botany which, when I decided to follow my passion for photography, opened a whole new world of possibilities. I call them mandalas because each one is a microcosm of our dear Mama Earth and the land I forage from.
The diversity around us is fascinating and I’m in a full immersion course. I feel compelled to forage, dissect, and research all the plants I uncover. I create small studies with the vast array of flora by my home in the Pacific Northwest.
I capture my wild-crafted finds by natural light, spending hours making and photographing them. It brings me a joy I have never experienced. The flowers, seeds, nuts and leaves seem to speak as I arrange them. Time takes on new meaning due to the short shelf life of the plants.
These nature studies help me reflect on the perfectly imperfect beauty of an impermanent life. They keep me present.

Featured artist: Veronica Mortellaro
“Sentient” brings together the newest body of work from Veronica Mortellaro. Using ink and watercolor, Veronica explores what it means to be fully human. Each of her works feels familiar and intimate, haunting yet sensual. Veronica’s medium forces serendipitous moments, casting figures that represent both strength and frailty.
Veronica grew up in Fort Collins, earning her BFA at Colorado State University. Prior to relocating to Seattle, she developed chronic pain that would change her life. The figures in her work represent not only the sorrow and fear she has experienced, but the sensuality, power, and human connection that emerged.
Also featuring live music by Velvet Doll and Clarkia Cobb. Performances from 7:30 – 9:30pm
