Covering the vessel with a bright cheerful color, she then carves gently through that layer revealing the white clay beneath in a technique called sgraffito. These are everyday pots with some extra care and Jenna hopes they’ll be integrated into daily rituals.

Artist and Seattle native Brigida Swanson’s watercolor paintings draw from the quiet beauty of the Pacific Northwest to inspire and emotionally connect with viewers.

Her creative mission is to help nature-lovers express sentiments that can be hard to say out loud, through heartfelt illustrations that speak with empathy and a little bit of magic. In an unpredictable, fast-paced national climate that can sometimes feel isolating, Brigida’s artworks provide a sense of breathing room by giving voice to what remains constant and true: that there’s magic in nature, there’s empathy to be found in connection, and there’s harmony in the community people build together.
